Dzhaus Beds Fm
Type Locality and Naming
Along the village of Dzhaus, Kashkadarya region. Zarafshan ridge. M.A. Zhonsonitskaya, 1974 (384, p.27). Stratotype in the Hodja-Kurgan village. Previously, A.I. Kim and N.M. Larin identified these deposits as the goniatite-tentaculite zone (368). M.B. Epuna". Str. layers (443).

Lithology and Thickness
Interbedding of black calcareous claystones (argillites) and flaggy limestones. In the middle part - coarse-grained, crinoidal limestones. Thickness 133m.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
Along the bedding, the Fm lies on the Kimov Beds Fm
Upper contact
It is overlain with a gradual transition by the Obisafit Beds Fm.
Regional extent
Western part of the Zarafshan ridge, basin of the Kashkadarya River. They are correlated with the upper Zlichov Fm and Daley Fm slates of Barrandien.
